SNES DIY SCART NTSC cable
Sometimes there is a need to create your own cable. This could be because you need a custom length cable, or you need a specific setup that is not commercially available, or you just want to save money and learn at the same time!
SNES NTSC SCART diagram
I have taken the diagram from here, which was used to construct the cable. The only change I made based on recommendation is to also connect Pin 5
to ground, in addition to Pin 6
.
Parts used
- SCART head board (credit: dansproject)
- 220uF 6.3V polymer caps
- 180 ohm SMD resistor (took one from junk pcb)
- 15ft parallel port shielded printer cable (Belkin)
- SCART header
- SNES Multi-out AV plug
